APRIL 24, 2025 – LONG BEACH ISLAND, NJ – The Lighthouse International Film Festival (LIFF) proudly announces Emmy Award-winning actor and director Jason Alexander as the keynote speaker for its 17th annual festival, taking place June 4–8, 2025.

As part of this special appearance, LIFF will host:

  • A 25th anniversary screening of Just Looking (dir. Jason Alexander)📅 Friday, June 6 | Followed by a Q&A

  • An intimate keynote conversation with Jason Alexander📅 Saturday, June 7 | On storytelling, filmmaking, and his celebrated career

“I am honored and flattered that the Lighthouse International Film Festival has chosen to honor the glorious little film I made nearly 25 years ago,” said Jason Alexander.
“Most artists make things not for dreams of profit but out of passion and inspiration. I hope this film and this festival will inspire and nurture the passions of our next generation of storytellers and filmmakers.”

Just Looking (1999) is a coming-of-age comedy-drama that follows Lenny, a sex-obsessed eighth grader in 1950s Bronx, who spends a summer in Queens on a mission to witness “the act of love.” The film is directed by Jason Alexander and remains a charming, under-appreciated gem.

“We couldn’t be more thrilled to welcome New Jersey legend Jason Alexander as our keynote speaker,” said Christine Rooney, LIFF Executive Director. “In addition to honoring Just Looking, his presentation will offer invaluable insight to filmmakers and attendees, drawn from his work as a director, producer, writer and performer.”
